Internal medicine
Diagnosis and treatment for when your pet isn’t feeling well.
Our pets can’t tell us in words what hurts, but they do show us through small changes. If you notice your companion is more withdrawn than usual, doesn’t want to eat, is vomiting, has diarrhea, is coughing, limping, or is simply acting strange in a way that worries you, it’s time to act.
With my at-home Internal Medicine service, I come to your home to find out what’s wrong with your pet, reach an accurate diagnosis, and start the definitive treatment so they can go back to being themselves. All of this while sparing them the stress and discomfort of travel when they’re feeling most vulnerable.
How do we solve the health problem in your home?
When a pet is sick, every minute counts and attention to detail is key.
METODOLOGÍA DE LA VISITA
Pasos a seguir
1. Detailed clinical interview
We talk without rushing. You know your pet better than anyone, so you’ll tell me everything you’ve noticed: when they started feeling unwell, whether their eating or drinking habits have changed, or if they’ve had any specific symptoms.
2. Advanced medical examination
I carry out a thorough physical exam focused on the current problem, without neglecting the rest of the body. I check their vital signs, listen to their heart and lungs, carefully palpate their abdomen, and assess their level of pain or discomfort.
3. On-the-spot diagnostic tests
To understand what’s going on inside, a visual check often isn’t enough. During the same visit, I can carry out or arrange the necessary tests:
- Blood and urine tests: Essential for checking kidney and liver function and ruling out infections or anemia.
- Rapid tests: Immediate diagnosis of common infectious diseases.
- Coordination of further tests: If your pet needs an urgent ultrasound or X-ray, I personally arrange and guide the process.
4. Immediate treatment and clear instructions
Once we’ve identified the problem, I apply the necessary treatment (injected or oral medication) to relieve their symptoms right away. I’ll explain the treatment in detail and show you how to administer it easily at home.

Preguntas Frecuentes
What symptoms indicate that I should request an Internal Medicine consultation?
You should seek a consultation if you notice your pet is lethargic, has stopped eating or drinking, or is showing vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, sneezing, limping, urinary problems, or any unusual change in their normal behavior.
What's the advantage of treating my sick pet at home instead of taking them to the clinic?
When an animal feels unwell or is in pain, the car ride and waiting room add extra stress that can make their condition worse. At home, they’re in their safe environment, which allows for a calmer and more accurate medical examination.
What diagnostic tests can be carried out during the home visit?
During the same visit, I can take samples for blood and urine tests (to assess kidney and liver function, infections, or anemia) and run rapid diagnostic tests for common infectious diseases. If advanced imaging tests are needed (such as ultrasounds or X-rays), I personally coordinate the appointment and referral.
Will you administer the treatment during the visit?
Yes. Once the problem is identified, I apply the necessary initial treatment (by injection or orally) to relieve their symptoms and start their recovery right away. I’ll also explain in simple terms how to continue the medication at home.
How is follow-up carried out after the consultation?
The service doesn’t end when I leave your home. I stay actively in touch via WhatsApp or phone calls to monitor your pet’s progress, answer any questions that come up, and adjust medication if needed until they fully recover.
What happens if my pet is in a critical condition or has a serious emergency?
If your pet is in a critical, life-threatening situation, they should be taken directly to a veterinary hospital equipped for intensive care. If you’re unsure how serious the symptom is, you can contact me right away for guidance on the best course of action.
