A Calling and Roots
"Caring for your best friend with the same love, patience and rigour I would give my own."
Hello, I am Sandra Nave Tormos, originally from Jávea. After years of clinical experience, I saw how stressful travelling to a clinic can be for animals and their guardians, especially for nervous, fearful and geriatric animals.
My passion for animal behaviour and welfare led me to specialise as a clinical ethologist to help you understand, prevent and solve your pet’s behaviour problems, improving their wellbeing and your life together. My commitment is to offer you a rigorous, close and humane veterinary service, where the animal’s emotional wellbeing is as much a priority as their physical health.

Frequently Asked Questions
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to write to me and I will get back to you as soon as possible to answer any queries you may have.
What are the advantages of at-home care compared with a traditional clinic?
The main advantage is the **complete elimination of stress**. For cats, it avoids the ordeal of carriers and the car; for nervous or reactive dogs, it prevents confrontations in waiting rooms; and for animals with osteoarthritis, it removes the pain of transport. In addition, the consultation is 100% individualised, with no crowded waiting rooms and no rushing.
How do I book an appointment, and how far in advance should I do so?
You can book quickly via **WhatsApp (+34 634 92 42 93)** or a phone call. For preventive appointments, vaccines or general check-ups, it is recommended to give 24 to 48 hours’ notice to fit the route in your area.
What happens if my pet needs urgent surgery or an X-ray?
I work in close collaboration and coordination with **veterinary hospitals and referral clinics in the region**. If, after my clinical assessment, your pet requires anaesthesia, surgery, diagnostic imaging or 24-hour hospitalisation, I will facilitate contact and the immediate transfer of their clinical report to the hospital centre.
How should I prepare my home before you arrive for the visit?
No complex preparation is needed. For cats, it is advisable to close off rooms with inaccessible hiding places (under high beds) shortly before I arrive. Having a well-lit area available and keeping their favourite treats or toy to hand always helps create a positive bond.
